(And Other Annoying Things About FB Games) Playing games on Facebook is a twin-edged sword. On the one hand, they are free… on the other, you get what you pay for. Case in point: Nearly every Facebook game is still marked as being “in Beta.” This is a geek term for “in development” or “in testing.” So, theoretically, the games on Facebook are offered for free because they need guinea pigs to test them. And we’re the guinea pigs. But, as one adroit Farmville fan pointed out, if they are still in testing, how can they charge for FarmBucks… ? Excellent point. Of course, Google’s Gmail was “in beta” for about a year after it was released. But that is, was and will always be (most likely) free. Yet all these games are charging for items. Whatever. It dawned on me this afternoon that in a week I shall have only one week of childhood left, and I still haven't managed a tanrum.. ;)Anyway I've put together this outfit with my Hello Kitty tea party in mind, alas the only part I actually own is the headband, but somehow I guess I'll be wearing pink.Ahh I rarely know what to call my 'looks'! (all made on looklet) I've been feeling really excited in the last few days, there's so much to look forward to this year.On the downside all three of my little guinea pigs are grumpy right now! They're just not happy little girls the last few days, even lettuce does not subdue the grumbles. It started with Chanel having a major strut around and then Vuitton joined in and even Dior has had her say, but after the behaviour of the other two I think I'd feel like doing so at that point! Ah well, extra hugs all around, especially as it's national hugging day. :)
